Our Story
Young Africans Network (YAN) was founded in April 2026 in Kenya by a group of passionate young Africans who believed that the continent's greatest resource is its youth — and that with the right support, guidance and opportunities, African youth can change the world.
We are a pan-African, non-partisan, youth-led organization with members across Kenya, Cameroon, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Ghana, Nigeria and beyond. Our work spans eight core departments — each focused on a specific area of youth development.
From digital skills training to scholarship access, career development to mental health — YAN is a comprehensive platform that meets young Africans where they are and takes them where they need to go.
We officially launch on 1st June 2026 — and this is only the beginning.
"To empower African youth through education, skills development, mentorship, and access to opportunities that enable them to actively build the future together."
